        Mainline Animal Rescue                                                                        Tink is a true symbol of resilience, love, and transformation.
                                                                                                      Her story didn’t begin with comfort or kindness, but with
                                                                                                      hardship and neglect. And yet, against all odds, she has
                                                                                                      become the queen of her castle.
                                                                                                      Her family first discovered her by chance. They weren’t
                                                                                                      looking to adopt; they were simply going online to make
                                                                                                      a donation to Main Line Animal Rescue. But when they
                                                                                                      entered the shelter’s address, something unexpected
                                                                                                      happened. A list of adoptable dogs appeared—and there
                                                                                                      she was. Her picture popped up, and she was just so cute,
                                                                                                      they couldn’t stop thinking about her.
                                                                                                      When they arrived at the shelter, Tink was ready for
                                                                                                      adoption. The staff shared her heartbreaking story. She had
                                                                                                      been left on a porch for seven long years, neglected and
                                                                                                      forgotten. Her owners had stopped feeding her, and she
                                                                                                      survived by drinking puddle water. Concerned neighbors
                                                                                                      finally called for help after seeing that she had gone two
                                                                                                      weeks without food. When the police arrived, they found
                                                                                                      her filthy, malnourished, and suffering from giardia caused
                                                                                                      by the dirty water. The people responsible were arrested,
                                                                                                      and Tink was finally taken to safety at the rescue.
                                                                                                      Despite everything she had endured, Tink’s gentle spirit still
                                                                                                      shone through. Her new family took one look at her and
                                                                                                      said, “Put her in the car.” They hadn’t planned to adopt that
                                                                                                      day, but it was clear that Tink was meant to come home.
                                                                                                      From that moment on, her life changed completely. With
                                                                                                      patience, kindness, and love, she began to heal. She learned
                                                                                                      to trust again, to curl up on soft beds instead of cold floors,
                                                                                                      and to expect affection instead of aggression.
                                                                                                      Now, Tink truly lives like royalty. Her family calls her the most
                                                                                                      spoiled dog on earth, and they might be right. They even
                                                                                                      joke that when they bought a beach house two years ago, it
                                                                                                      wasn’t big enough for her…so they bought her a bigger one!
                                                                                                      Tink’s story is a true rags-to-riches tale—a journey from
                                                                                                      neglect to abundance, from fear to unconditional love. What
                                                                                                      makes her so extraordinary is not just her survival, but her
                                                                                                      ability to thrive. She is living proof that healing is possible,
                                                                                                      love transforms, and every rescue is not just saving a life—
                                                                                                      it’s crowning a queen.
